      Interview

I have yet to hear back on either an offer or decline... it’s been two month since my interview, and I don’t know if they offered the job to someone else or if they are still in the process. I don’t even know if they didn’t want to hire me. No one has called me back.

Everyone on the panel was so nice. Be yourself and be personable, and you will fit right in. A sense of humor and honesty goes a long way. Talk about taking care of the people you will service.

      Interview

They first had me take an aptitude test on a computer when I got there. Then for the interview I just met with 2 managers from different departments who were both hiring. It wasn't too formal and no questions out of the ordinary.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at HMSA (Honolulu, HI)

      Interview

I applied on online for one kind of Analyst position, but a couple of weeks later an HMSA HR rep got back to me and recommended I apply for a specific Business Analyst position. I did so. A day later I got asked to do a recorded phone interview, where they ask questions and I have 2 - 5 minutes to respond. Apparently this is so the hiring manager can review answers at their leisure. I have no idea if they ever listened to my answers. Once I did that, I got silence/excuses from HR for 2 months. Finally, I got an offer for an interview at their HQ on Keeaumoku. When I showed up at HQ, they sat me in front of a computer and had me take a 15 min skills tests on basic math, proofreading, and logical skills. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager and their boss and I thought it went really well. I had all the experience they were looking for, answered all of their questions with personal anecdotes, asked a few good questions of my own, showed them I had done research without showing off, made them laugh a few times. We all ended on smiles and handshakes and they told me I'd get an answer in two weeks. I sent both an email and physical thank you letters afterwards, and followed up with HR every two weeks only to get non-responses ("You'll be informed when we make a decision"). Finally after 30 days I got a form rejection. I think they were negotiating with their primary choice(s) and kept me around as a possible backup. While I know I was highly qualified for the position, and carried myself well through the entire process, its their right to choose to go with another candidate. However, I do wish they would not have taken two months to decide to interview me, and then over a month after the interview to make a choice while stonewalling me with silence when I followed up after two weeks (which is the time frame they gave me).
