There a was job fair in pre security area of the restaurant. The interview went over my experience and availability. The interview was fairly short and easy the manager has other things to do. He also asked if my record was clear since background checks are required.
The process from getting hired to getting on the floor to serve is very long compared to other serving jobs. I would not recommend working in airport if you are unemployed and don't a savings. You have to wait for the background to clear which can take 14 to 21 business days. You have to do badging. You have to take a few days of orientation for hmshost and the airport. In addition, you have to do training with the company. With that being said in my city, the servers who work in the airport make the most money consistently.
