I applied online. I interviewed at Harbor Freight Tools (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2022
Interview
Very process lengthy long wait period. I have a lot of experience and more experience than most of there store Managers. I always had a low cut in my entire experience this time I decided to grow my hair. I know being black this isn’t acceptable with certain management positions I feel and know I was very well discriminated against it’s no reason why I should have passed on to two different store managers and had to go out my way for the interview and still wasn’t chosen. I have not seen to many African Americans in the Arizona stores getting hired at this company where is the diversity and need to stop discriminating I was willing to take a huge loss in pay for an assistant role for a work life balance. They gave me the run around so bad never had any issues with landing any manager job until I grew my hair I hope this gets resolved but this company from my experience discriminates
