I applied online. I interviewed at HarbourVest Partners, LLC (Boston, MA)
Interview
The interview process was horrible. The managers that they had me interview with treated me with disrespect and did not give me a fair chance to even fully answer their questions. Due to my age and experience they treated me as I was some child with no investment knowledge and did not give me an opportunity to even partake in the interview. I have applied to this company several times and one application that has been outstanding since 2020 was just recently rejected. The HR department has no idea what they are looking for in candidates that they request interviews for. When you send follow up emails to these individuals, you get ghosted and do not receive any notifications if you were rejected for the job. Every single time I applied for a job at HarbourVest, I thought I would have gotten a great experience, but it is maybe the worst interview process. I do not know if these individuals are deemed unfit for their position or if they have no idea how to give candidates the respect that they deserve. After applying to this company several times and I have learned my lesson to never apply to them ever again due to their lack of professionalism. If you are looking for a job here... DON'T!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Why are you looking for a job in this industry since you seem to have no professional experience?" The disrespect in the interview process from managers that decided to jump down your throat and decide to make you feel lesser as a human was astonishing. These managers spoke your ear off for 30 minutes at a time and would not let you speak nor give you the opportunity to speak. Rude.

Interview
Very simple and informal interview process. Met with Assistant Managers on a Webex call for what seemed to be a casual conversation. Process was well organized and went by quickly; however, the interview did feel like a courtesy and that there was already a pre-determined candidate for the role.
