The meetings with the first human resources representative, direct supervisor, and associate dean were very friendly and pleasant. The final meeting with the hiring human resources representative--the salary negotiation--was very unpleasant; there was zero negotiation, all my asks were immediately shot down; her response was basically: either take it as it is or, we have plenty more people we can hire for less than you.
