I applied for Korean language speaking FA position. I applied online from their website and got an email after a weekish? I was invited to do an AI graded interview which they had 5 questions, and we had to film a video responding to those questions and upload it. It took about a week for them to get back to me, then I was invited to a zoom group interview. There were about 7 people including me, one Korean speaking Flight Attendant and one from HR I believe. They asked me one question about my previous hospitality experience (when was the time you went above and beyond for a customer) then they asked me a situation question in English and asked me to respond in Korean. (Another crew member gave the special meal to the wrong guest, what would you do) Then they read an in flight announcement in English and asked us to translate it into Korean. They emailed me the results on the same day afternoon to schedule an in-person group interview. It was scheduled about two weeks away. We were asked to pick a time slot for the group interview but for language speaking candidates we only had one option. Later I found out they ha total 8 time slots and each had 40 candidates. On the day of group interview we went to their headquarters; checked in and received a name tag with 3 different group numbers on it. We went to the cafeteria and did our reach test there, then each group was sent to a different room with 2 people from HR and 1 current flight attendant, then we were each given a situational question. We were not allowed to read it until they told us to, each person had to stand up, say their name, read the question to yourself then read it out loud and from then 1 minute time limit would start, and you would start presenting your response. After this we were divided into 3 smaller groups, I was assigned to group of two and the rest were groups of three. We were each given an in-flight situation and given 3 minutes to discuss with your group mates. Then you would choose one person to present, other reviews said to volunteer so I did so. LOL after that we were given an escalated situation and had another person present. After that we went home and we got an email the same afternoon, and the email had the date of when your final interview will be. We had to pick a time slot, and we had to check in upon arrival again. Final interview was conducted in a small room with 1 HR and 1 in flight management team, they went through my resume and asked questions mainly regarding my experiences, similar questions from the first zoom group interview. Did not asked me any questions regarding to their values or mission statement, but it could be different for everyone else! After that you got to ask any questions to them, then I was escorted outside to wait for the language test room to be available. The language test was conducted through a phone call, and I received an in-flight announcement paper in Korean. Person over the phone asked me questions in Korean about the weather, what I do in my free time, if I visit Korea or not, and later we started doing a role play over the phone. I guess this is to see how proficient you are in that language in random situations. The role play was nothing about the flight attendant job, it was just a rando one. Then I was asked about any recent news that I was interested in, details about that news, and was asked a society/politics related question. I think this is to see the level of your language proficiency; I heard that someone else were asked about ARM/APR finance related question in Korean. After all the talk we were asked to read the announcement paper, then we were done! Got the CJO two days after my final interview. Everyone was dressed professionally, I didn't wear a blazer at my group interview bc I didn't have one but literally 90% of my group wore a blazer, full on suit and they all looked like they just came back from a flight attendant shift. Make sure to dress professionally!!
