He asked me what Project Management software would I recommend and why.

My answer was that while Project was good at outlining the process and the many steps for the day to day it was cumbersome. It did not send out emails to remind people to review or complete tasks. Project also did not have a place to store artwork and meeting notes related to the job. While Agile and PLM both had those user friendly applications both required a substantial capital outlay of cash for software and training. I suggested that they work on developing proprietary software and learn to use it company wide while they expanded into new markets.
