      Sales Interview

      Feb 23, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at HeadLight (New York, NY) in Feb 2021

      Interview

They have posted this position at least 4x in the last 6 months, and I know for a fact they interviewed multiple candidates each time. I don't normally air dirty laundry but what they are doing isn't right. They will have you do 4, 1 on 1 interviews, were everyone is very nice and genuine. I actually believe that they are genuinely nice people, however when you get to the sales presentation, you are in fact providing free labor. They will record your presentation and they want you to give an overview of an account they haven't yet been able to get into. Hence, you do the leg work for someone else. I know this is the case for a lot of sales jobs, however when they keep post the same req and yet to hire someone, which is a whole bunch of red flags. After the cumbersome presentation, which will take at least 5 hours to prepare and 90 minutes to present, you will have to chase them down for any kind of decision. So, they probably will try to ghost you if you aren't proactive with follow-ups. This whole process left a terrible taste in my mouth, and its just a warning to others
