The interview process at Headway was disappointing from the start. I had a no-show to our scheduled interview without any prior notice. While I understand things can come up unexpectedly, what followed was equally concerning. When we eventually connected, they were extremely impersonal and seemed disinterested. This immediately set a negative tone for the entire conversation. The interview felt rushed throughout, with questions focused almost exclusively on data and metrics.
Throughout the interview, I was interrupted multiple times while trying to explain my experience and background. When I did manage to complete my answers, I received noticeably disinterested responses, making it clear the interviewer was simply going through the motions rather than genuinely evaluating my fit for the role.
During the process, I noticed several red flags about the current state of the company:
- The organization appears to be in a transitional phase, still finding its footing
- Multiple C-suite executives are brand new to the company
- Abrupt changes seem to be happening across the organization
- The company culture, based on my limited interaction, did not seem well-established
