Thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with Headway’s interview process. As a company with approximately 18% of the staff self-identified as neurodivergent, we are consistently striving to provide an equitable interview experience that is consistent and considerate. While we are more than happy to offer accommodations, they must be requested. Autism is a large spectrum and we can’t assume everyone’s needs are the same. Unfortunately, no specific accommodations were requested for this interview at any stage of the process. We only received questions about our existing process.
The Customer Experience Associate role has several rounds of interviews; like many interviews, the process can feel long. We are incredibly cautious in our hiring process because every single person hired makes an impact at Headway. We have limited headcount available for each role open and we are unable to hire every person who performs well in the interview process. Often rejections are connected to a limited number of openings and not deficits in an interview performance.
Regarding the comment about misleading questions, we ask you to describe previous work challenges you had to overcome. This is a chance for each candidate to demonstrate growth and perseverance. Candidates can use this time to showcase their learnings, but we strongly advise against reflecting poorly on previous employers. We hope this last point helps future candidates prepare for their interviews.
Thank you again for the feedback.
