As an experienced Human Resources executive, I’m genuinely concerned by Helion Energy’s approach to recruiting. I’ve applied to multiple HR positions across different levels within the organization. Each submission was rejected within 24 hours, without even a preliminary screening conversation. For a company with numerous HR vacancies that have remained open for months, this practice raises serious questions about the effectiveness and integrity of their hiring process.
When I requested feedback, I was told none would be provided. Yet, shortly after, a recruiter added me on LinkedIn “to stay in touch.” No communication ever followed. The mixed signals reflect a lack of structure and respect for candidates’ time.
Helion’s continued reliance on what appears to be automated filtering, combined with a refusal to engage qualified applicants, suggests a troubling disconnect between their stated values and their actual talent practices. For an organization striving to advance one of the most ambitious missions in modern energy, overlooking human judgment in favor of algorithmic convenience is a strategic and reputational misstep.
