I applied online and was contacted within 3 days by an HR represented, scheduled an interview for the following week. As another reviewer mentioned, if Highmark wants you they'll move a little quickly. Interview proceeded very well. I met with two actuaries (I was only told I'd be meeting with one), who familiarized me with the inner workings of the job as well as the actuarial field itself. We discussed our educational backgrounds for a little bit and how we got interested in the industry. It felt more like a training session than an interview. Both interviewers were very polite and well-spoken. Afterwards I was introduced to the Chief Actuary, who was also outgoing. The interview only lasted an hour, as everyone involved was extremely busy. Afterwards I was told I would be receiving a phone call if I was selected for the position or an e-mail if I wasn't selected. I received a phone call in 3 weeks.
