I submitted my application and then received a link to a long survey. A few days after completing the survey, I receive an email and voicemail from a Highmark recruiter who scheduled an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager and I spoke for about 30 minutes. We had good rapport and, while I ultimately felt underqualified for the role, believed I would at least receive a form rejection letter. This did not happen. Furthermore, when I emailed both the hiring manager AND the recruiter to follow up, I received no response. I was completely ghosted by this company, which has deterred me from ever applying for another position with them. This is a fundamentally disrespectful way to treat applicants. I can't imagine how they treat their patients.
