It was long and drawn out. Too many hoops to jump thru just to get information about the job. 10 job references from current and past work relationships is not professional.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Fort Worth, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Phone interview with recruiter. First step. Explains in detail the description of job and requirements as well as next steps and 10 questions. After you are asked for 6 references including 4 direct reports. This can be a bit hard if you are currently employed but dont want to involve your place of work just yet..so be prepared for this.

Question 1
If ever been let go or terminated from a job.
What is your strongest attribute..
Horrible. Very quick interview scheduled and professional interview but it’s unrealistic to expect 7-10 references that are professional only. Most companies don’t even allow employees to give references so to make that a minimum to move in in today’s world is ridiculous.
