I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hologic in Jan 2026
Interview
Had an a brief initial interview with someone (HR or recruiter) it was just a basic go over qualifications thing. I have 29 years in electro-mechanical troubleshooting, 15 of which are on medical imaging systems (the last several years on big Iron systems).I also have a B.T.A.S. in Healthcare Leadership yet I didn’t even make it to the actual interviews which seems very surprising and has me curious if it isn’t due to my being in my late 40’s. Would love to know the qualifications of those who made it to the actual interviews.
I applied online. I interviewed at Hologic in Jun 2021
Interview
I was interviewed by a panel of three. I thought the interview went well. The questions were pretty much standard, no difficult ones at all.
I didn't get a chance for a 2nd interview. They never really revealed what I lacked for them to not consider me.
I applied a year later for the same post. This time, I didn't even get a 1st interview. I got an email like the last time, same standard email not telling me much.
I won't be applying a third time for sure. As far as I'm concerned I have much to offer them than them offering me. I'm an honest hard working man. I take my job very seriously, to me my duties mean more than contractual agreements on a piece of paper, they are tethered to my moral and ethical values.
We live in a world full of fake values. Is it any wonder why recruiting is so difficult.
