I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HomeGoods (Elk Grove, CA) in Aug 2018
Interview
Applied then went in frequently to check on the application process. The manager said it's no use coming in anymore because they weren't hiring but guess who got a call 3 weeks later. Hiring manager remembered me, she was super chill and friendly. The interview was an informal conversation I said yeah and nope, lots of laughing. She didn't like my availability but loved my question responses. Key words and phrases was a super helpful tool. I prepared some answers beforehand but it wasn't necessary just basic common sense questions. Remember put the customer first, be an independent worker but let the manager know what you're doing, be honest and responsible, and you got it.
I wish I had gotten this job, the whole entire team seems like a great bunch of people, the vibes were great, lowkey not a great job career path wise but still would have been a good option to have. the interview was not hard but i was so nervous 💀

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HomeGoods (Cedar Rapids, IA)
Interview
Extremely easy and stress free, went in there much more prepared and nervous than I had to be. Didn't feel very traditional interview style felt much more like a conversation...a little awkward at first but then would get off on tangents about random stuff and laugh about being so far off track.
They first called me on the phone to schedule an interview. I went in and it was very casual, we just sat inside the store. Very casual, tell me about yourself questions.
