Standard but somewhat challenging. Hiring manager definitely challenges you and throws curve balls to try and trip you up. The mock presentation exercise is also more strenuous than a typical disco call. Definitely prepare to do a thorough presentation with discovery weaved in, instead of the format they give you which prompts you to lead with discovery up front. Overall the pace of interviewing is great and I respect the interview process being more challenging than less.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Horizon3.ai
Interview
The H3 team was incredibly communicative during the interview process. Met with the hiring manager, a peer & SE, pitched to a small panel, and then met with the CRO. All wonderful conversations, challenging in their own right, but allowed me to really feel that this was a mutually good fit.
The first and second interviews were cool - they just wanted to get to know my basic workflow, how do I generate opportunities and what my basic win rate looked like. I got to the final interview, and both Sales manager i'd be working for and the sales director wanted me to go through a typical call I'd have with my current company. I thought I knocked it out of the park, but then one of them drilled in and attacked saying that I never asked the client what brings them to this call, or what their pain points were. THAT WAS THE FIRST THING I ASKED... They nailed me on that, and never let me speak to defend myself. My whole interview was based on that one misread on their part.
