First was a phone screen with the hiring manager where I discussed my experience and background which was very pleasant and personal. Then I was brought in for an onsite interview which unfortunately felt impersonal with many checkbox questions and less conversational. To a group of 4-5 people you're gonna give a portfolio presentation of projects you worked on, and be asked questions during. Following the presentation is a smaller panel of Q&A with two groups. The questions were the usual/cliche' situational for UX interviews like selling a design to stakeholders, disagreements with dev and how it was handled?, etc. Overall the experience was ok, but it was not the type of interview or environment that works for me personally. I did receive later the "Thanks, but no Thanks..." email so I wasn't left in the dark, which I appreciate. My takeaways where that I got a "Tech-Bro" vibe which may or may not be your thing, and it's a open space environment which could challenge your sensibilities if you're not an extrovert or social butterfly.
