      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Houzz in Sep 2025

      Interview

The initial call from the recruiter seemed promising. It was a 30-minute call, getting to know more about role and my background. The next step was a 2 minute or less video, where you are asked to stand and explain something you're passionate about. After the video you would move on to meeting with the Field Manager, and lastly, the VP of Marketing. I didn't get past the video step, and I can't help but wonder if it's because of my age and race. It appears as though they're looking for people fresh out of college. I was told that there were a lot of applicants for the role, but I still see the position posted online, across multiple boards.
