      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Houzz

      Interview

They start off with a hiring event- quick 10 minute interview then invite everyone back in for a final interview They do a role play that’s an hour and a half long along with a final interview. The good news is they are quick to extend an offer. Seems that everyone gets offered a job here. Bad news.. I could make more working at McDonald’s then this place. They offered about half of my base I told them from the beginning I made. It would save everyone’s time to be more realistic about the salary range for positions. Why would anyone switch jobs for a huge pay cut? I mean seriously I’m not really sure how they think they can get top talent hiring at 30k a year. Don’t get me wrong the people were very nice and the interview process was very smooth, but clearly salary range decided by senior management need to be looked at again.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Houzz (New York, NY)

      Interview

I was emailed on LinkedIn after a recruiter looked at my profile for a few weeks. They reached out to me asking if I would be interested in speaking. It was very formal, the recruiter explained and went into detail on the company and job. Asked me about my current qualifications and my thoughts on the position. The position is an inside sales role and is either located out of Nashville or Irvine. Seems like a cool startup, we talked about headwinds for the company. After discussing compensation. I felt it wasn’t worth pursuing and thanked them.
