I applied for a finance position at Siemens which was relatively hard to bridge from the start. I came from an actuarial background, expecting the open position to be heavier at the theoretical finance side. It was not. The prospective user came from hardcore accounting background, expecting her subordinates to be similar (w.r.t. her accounting background) as I found on the new hires's LinkedIn information.
