      CAPAP - Digital Industries Interview

      Dec 30, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Siemens in May 2022

      Interview

Multiple stages with bunch of applicants but only one opening (as informed at the last stage by the interviewing HRBP). Selection flow: 30-minute screening interview with an HR intern (lol) -> Pen-and-paper three-hour aptitude test including a company knowledge section (20+ participants per test batch — there were more than one test batch, as mentioned by the test invigilator) -> One-hour final interview with user and HRBP, excruciatingly long perhaps due to the burden of selecting out of too many candidates at the ultimate stage. Only the first screening was conducted online, the rest were held on the spot (at their Pulomas Office). In-lab swab test was made mandatory for visiting but not reimbursable. They should have paid for it. To enter the premise, all candidates were to wait at the reception building until summoned from the inside. The reception was unfitting for the large crowd (moreover, for the company's prestigious name). Not to mention, the toilet facility near the reception was very poor (one-chamber unisex squatter toilet). A glass of water was prepared on the table for each participant. They established that they have 0%-tolerant policy on plastic use in any of their company's setting. After the aptitude test, a snack box was provided to take home. Inside, there was a plastic bottle of water. Tragic. After making it to the last stage, no rejection letter was sent, making the entire process even more sour. Nonetheless, super grateful for not landing the job as it became clear that the company's working policy is 100%-work-at-office and the working atmosphere is very industrial (a huge factory in contrast with a white collar corporate skyscraper). Nothing's wrong with this last point; it just didn't fit my preference.

      Application

The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Siemens (Jakarta) in May 2022

      Interview

Three rounds: initial screening interview with HR, pencil-and-paper aptitude test, and final interview with user. For the second and third round, you need to come to their office. Doing it the old-fashioned way despite the pandemic. You also need to suffice them with an official Rapid Antigen/LFT test result--they do not reimburse this expense! One to two weeks between rounds. They seemed to have many candidates applying for each position in every round. The paper-and-paper test had at least 12 participants in one sitting, where they also revealed several more sittings. The interview with user took two weeks, with approximately 1-2 candidate(s) were interviewed in a day. Taking two days per week would still make 8 candidates to be interviewed for the ultimate stage! This opening really gave me high false hope. Direction and closing chatter: Their office is located at Pulomas, within a row of industrial estates. It is an office inside a factory with basic facilities for the guest (small detached reception room with lots of guests, squatter toilet, and far from enough parking lots for cars. You may need to park your car next door.)
