Interview
VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
The process took about a week and there were 2 rounds. The first round was OK but the second one was a horrible experience. The interviewer, a senior executive, was rude and almost an hour late. He never bothered reading my resume beforehand. He asked me irrelevant questions pertaining to my ethnicity!!!!
Throughout the interview, he was bashing the local workers (myself included) for their lack of LOYALTY. He stated that they only use Huawei because they need a job and will move on once they find better opportunities. No wonder there are so many negative reviews concerning this company. The key to attract and keeping good employees is to treat them with respect and provide career advancement opportunities. If you treat them badly, of course they will leave! Loyalty is a 2 way street and has to be earned. Also, if you want do business here, you should make an effort to understand and respect Canadian/local culture, society dynamics and labour practice before painting everyone with the same broad stroke!!! I was so offended that I declined the "opportunity" right after.

Interview
Asked to describe CV, did right thing by NOT doing this, just gave a quick 'flavour'. When I mentioned some of my accomplishments he was NOT interested. HR just send people through to interview, he did not read my CV beforehand.
At least he made an effort to answer my questions....He was extremely negative about the company's working environment: development - none; promotion - unlikely; work-life balance - work only matters; no other strategy than they plan to grow; tax center of 'excellence' is just a buzzword, etc.
My cost = travelcard, annual leave day wasted, starbucks coffees... he wasted 90 min but he looked very unhurried. I was there for an interview not a chat about how he missed his old job.
Let HR know afterwards that I'm not interested to take this any further.
