I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot in Jun 2021
Interview
Seven 30 minute phone calls, 4 of which were zoom. One case study review (which they had me prepare for but never asked me to present). Overall, I loved their transparency and HubSpot continues to be one of my top choices for jobs.
Pros:
- Everyone I interviewed with was enthusiastic, smart, and well prepared.
- The questions were thought provoking and felt they give you a lot of opportunity to showcase your knowledge in the company
- I loved that they took the time to give feedback about why I did not receive the offer. They told me that it was because I did not have enough examples of my current day to day.
Cons:
- I was frustrated they put a lot of focus on the Case Study review, so I took extra time preparing a deck and presentation they never asked me to present.
- I felt like because I spent so much time preparing the case study, I was not as prepared for other examples of my work. I feel that case study showed explicitly my value-add, but I was never given the opportunity to present it.
- They said they were excited to interview me for other positions in the future, but that I had to wait at least 6 months before I could reapply. It seems like a waste of good talent if they put you on a probation period if you are not a good fit for one particular position.
Asked a lot of very specific questions that in the end didn't apply to the role in question.
Interviewer wasn't very friendly either and didn't seem interested in understanding my background, just getting answers to their specific questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at HubSpot (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Standard interview process, began with a recruiter call, hiring manager call and then to a project based task plus a panel. The recruiter was very helpful plus clear and concise about next steps, timing and expectations.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at HubSpot (Singapore) in Oct 2022
Interview
Horrified by the cold and hostile approach of the HR personnel. No introduction of the company was said at the starting point of the call and throughout! The call started with " Are you ready for the interview?" and followed by " Alright, lets start the interview. Introduce yourself." Talk about basic courtesy 101. HR is still the face of the company! goodness, gracious. Hubspot is all about CRM integration for a cohesive overall customer journey and experience. Your interview process seems to speak otherwise. It was just questions after questions. and NOT a conversation? When asked about career progression and the timeline as I was curious about it, the HR was so hostile and replied " is this a concern for you? " No, i am very concerned about the way HR department at hubspot hires HR executive. oh god. What a blessing in disguise, think I dodge a bullet.
