      Customer Support Specialist Interview

      Aug 4, 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Frisco, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at HubSpot (Frisco, TX)

      Interview

The hiring process is an experience! Let me walk you through it, because just like you I was looking through here RELIGIOUSLY!!! Nervous, anxious, excited…. ALL THAT!!! You apply, and they can take anywhere from 48 hours to reach back out or two weeks! I applied right before their Global Week of Rest, so I was waiting for awhile, understandably. Micaela was my recruiter during the process and she gave me information about what HubSpot offers and asked about my experience. She moved me through to the next step and within three days, I did the demo with Ben! This demo is based off of a Form on the Landing Page they ask you to create. I created much more than they asked for but.. that’s okay! Lol. Then they ask you to navigate through HubSpot/asking you questions about sequences, workflows and what the lifecycle stage means to the Customer. Lastly, you’ll do a “Customer to Support Rep” role play. They do not expect you to be an expert!!!! Please don’t feel bad if you cannot find the answer or bc of nerves you blank. I PROMISE IT’S OKAY!! Show them you can talk to a customer and show them you are going to use your resources to find an answer! It’s all about how you can deal under pressures! If you can’t find it, show them how you navigate a customer to a different platform to assist them. Don’t break character!! Then afterwards be sure to have a few questions prepared! After this I heard back about two hours later I was going to move forward in the process. I had a three panel interview with Abbey, Micheal and Molly. Research your interviewers and make sure to ask questions! They want interested people, and questions show interest! They ask about 5-6 behavioral questions so be prepared with your toolbox of STAR method responses. I recommend viewing their Instagram, LinkedIn, website and HubSpot academy on helpful tools to succeed! Also, Madeline Mann on YouTube is amazing! She provides so many in depth tools to help better frame your interview skills and build confidence!! I heard back the next afternoon after this interview with my offer and here I am giving you this review! I’ve wanted this job so long, watched others flourish in their careers… wondering if I’d ever find a home!! I even allowed imposter syndrome to stop me but not anymore. IM READY TO CELEBRATE!!! IM OFFICIALLY A HUBSPOTTER! :)
