Process began in the beginning of July.
I submitted my resume and cover letter and was contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen. The phone screen went well.
Middle of July, I advanced to a virtual session with a hiring manager, and that session went well.
Beginning of August, I advanced to the third stage which included a portfolio review, and three individual interviews with various team members.
My recruiter was helpful throughout the entire process, and then after my final interview series, I was ghosted. Even now, I have not received a decision one way or the other, even after two follow-up emails across two weeks. In the end, I withdrew my candidacy and took a position with another company.
HubSpot was my top choice. I was excited about contributing to the culture there and growing as a designer on a well established design team. I wish I knew what happened, or was at least kept up to date. I felt devalued, and didn't get a chance to have the advertised "feedback session" that was offered to folks who'd made it so far into the HubSpot interview process.
All in all, I was extremely disappointed with the way my candidacy experience ended. I hope that my experience is singular, and not a common occurrence.
