“Three” interviews:
1) with a HubSpot recruiter. Pretty general.
2) with a manager or lead. Role-play customer scenario is mandatory here and is very difficult. They don’t expect you to be an expert, but you’re thrown into a situation virtually blind. There was another manager on the call, but they did not have their video or audio on.
3) this interview is actually three in one. You speak with three different managers, but in my case, two of them had another manager on the call with them…so really five.
The day after my third interview (which I thought went pretty well,) I received the same automated response they send to those who would not even be considered for an interview. Nothing was personalized, and I was not thanked for the time wasted on three multiple occasions. As I applied to a few different roles, I reached out to the recruiter as I wanted to be sure that this was indeed my rejection letter for the position I actually interviewed for, but I never received any response. In fact, I got a survey sent over instead about my experience with HubSpot. All in all, I find the rejection process disrespectful. No personalization, no thank you’s, and no reasoning for the rejection or feedback.
