This was quite a lengthy interview process. Overall, the timeline was about a month in a half for me.
1. Initial call with the recruiter discussing your background and learning more about the company.
2. Next, I moved forward in the process and spoke directly with a hiring manager for 45 minutes. Again, it was discussing my background and how my background could translate to Hubspot. The questions were more in-depth but more like a conversation.
3. I found out I would be moving forward to the final interview. I interviewed with 4 different managers in a 1:1 setting. Each interview was roughly 45 minutes long. The first 3 managers asked general questions related to the sales processes and wanted to get a deeper understanding of my background and how I could be a fit for Hubspot. It was very relaxing and more of a conversation versus an interview. If I could note anything it became quite redundant stating the same thing over and over. For the final part of the interview, I had a mock phone call with the hire manager. It was a case study I received from my recruiter. In this process, you will have the opportunity to complete a mock call, receive coaching and have the opportunity to apply some of the feedback you receive to the second call.
Overall, I felt the interview went well and it was extremely relaxing. Unfortunately, I was not hired by Hubspot. This is where things get a little negative for me. I received the automated email stating Hubspot would not be moving forward with me. 20 minutes later I received an email from my recruiter to schedule a 10-minute call for her to provide feedback from the managers on my interview. The call was scheduled for the next day. The time came and went and I did not receive a call from the recruiter. I reached out via email, no response. I sent a message to one of the managers I interviewed with on LinkedIn. He advised recruiters was out of the office for the holiday and he emailed the recruiter to give me a call back once she was back in the office. To this day I have not received a call from the recruiter. It was quite disappointing because I would have liked to have feedback to know what I could do differently next time, or have some type of understanding as to why Hubspot decided not to move forward with me. Hubspot claims to be a company that prides itself on communication and doing right by people. That may be the case but personally, for me, my experience was not the same.
