Applied via LinkedIn. A recruiter contacted me 3 days after to book an interview. She was really good, asked the expected questions, such as: why Hubspot, what I know about the position, etc.
I passed to the next stage which was the interview with the hiring manager and the recruiter told me how to prepare for it. However, from my point of view, the information given was not quite what was really asked during the hiring manager interview.
Mainly you should create a trial HubSpot account and do some stuff there, create some contacts, create some lists, etc. Then there was a roleplay where you are the specialist and the manager is a customer.
It is not that hard, prepare for extra questions apart from what is in the task as well and do some of the courses they have for free on the trial as well. I have done it all, I have studied a lot and seemed it was not enough.
Also, and really important for me, the hiring manager was completely not "in" the interview. It felt like they already had someone and was only doing that because it was scheduled. Additionally, the manager began the interview kind of "supportive", but when I had my first "error", their facial expression changed completely and I felt even more nervous. This was kind of disrespectful, it felt like I was a joke!
Overall, the interview is not hard, but prepare your mind as well for this type of behaviour. Good luck!
