I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HubSpot (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2021
Interview
Recruiter screen, HM screen, onsite (presentation of a past project, culture fit, engineering , design round)
It sounded like a great team and culture based on reviews. The team found someone else a better fit for a role that I originally interviewed for. They suggested another role and I was ready to meet with the hiring manager role but the HM who I met spoke about a role that's totally different. It seemed like they didn't know what they wanted. They just had a extra round which seemed like a team fit convo but seemed like I was being assessed again and eventually I was rejected without even understanding the role and the scope of the new role.

Question 1
Describe a favorite product and how would you improve it.
General behavioural questions.
How do you work with engineers/ designers.
HR screening then hiring manager. They typically responded to emails relatively quickly. All emails came from an HR coordinator. The first interview was relatively high level with deeper and technical questions saved for the hiring manager.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HubSpot (Boston, MA) in Dec 2024
Interview
Solid overall interview, team was super friendly and the recruiter was incredibly helpful. No real problems throughout the process. If anything id maybe call out that the case study (asking for elaboration of past experience) felt a bit long.

Explain a time when you made a large business impact
Very structured, lots of support in the process, and lots of resources to give you insights about working there along the way. Very supportive recruiters, and clear expectations with sample questions for each round.
