Interview
I’ve filled out over 80 job applications over 2 years and Hudl was the best experience BY FAR! Everything from being made aware that they received my application to being told they were moving forward with another candidate all felt very genuine and personal.
- Had 5 rounds of interviews, last one in the office
- Loved the the product. Confirmed that it is for wearables and not for the cameras
- Got the offer
- Accepted the offer and agreed on contract
- Submitted docs for the contract
- Got scheduled additional interview with VP of product: "it is just more of a chat"
- Had 30 mins conversation where was asked to tell about my experience. I have asked if it is interview because it seemed like one and got confirmation that it is
- Got a call from recruiter saying that they will be retracting the offer because the position was filled in internally
I declined the offer from the other company that I got because I was certain that I'm joining Hudl. And I'm just glad now that I didn't put my leave notice at my current work.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you have experience with building hardware products from scratch?
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate your openness and honesty, and want to express our regret for your interview experience.
As you noted, the decision to retract the offer was based on internal changes, and was made much later in the interview process than is respectful to you. This caused uncertainty and inconvenience to you and we sincerely apologize that was your experience.
I assure you that your feedback is invaluable to us, and we’re using it to improve our hiring processes and communication with candidates. Your insights will help us ensure a more transparent and positive experience for all candidates in the future.

It was a process that took time, but was worth it. They were respectful and professional. I was surprised with how comfortable I felt while being interviewed. I believe they have a great system.
