I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hughes Network Systems (Germantown, MD) in Oct 2018
Interview
I spoke to the recruiter on campus at the career fair. I was called for an on-campus interview on the next day. Basic questions on C/C++, algorithms and networking were asked. C/C++ questions were mostly on pointers call by reference, call by value etc. Networking questions were on basic TCP/IP concepts. Algorithms questions were leetcode easy level questions.
Then I was called for an on-site interview two months later. There were 4 straight interviews (45 min each) for everyone. Two of these rounds were questions mostly on my resume and background. One interviewer asked some basic DS questions and socket programming. Last round was coding where I was asked to design a doubly linked list and draw a particular type of pattern. All the rounds had a few behavioral questions. BE THOROUGH ON WHAT YOU PUT ON YOUR RESUME.
I was given an offer a week later.
