Hy-Vee Assistant Department Manager interview questions

First HR interviewed me and then a week later the department manager called and asked if I could come in and meet the team. When I got there she asked when I could start and my availability and talked about moving forward. She said before I left she wanted to make sure I got a chance to talk to the other assistant manager since that was the job I was applying for. Then that assistant manager began interviewing me, which I did not expect. It was bizarre they had somebody in the same role interviewing after the manager had already talked about a start date for me. Then they insisted it wasn't an assistant manager role, it was a lead role, despite assistant manager being the job title on the application, and what the HR referred to the position as, so I was pretty offput. To top it all off, the assistant manager/lead was rather condescending. I left not really wanting the position any more, which worked out okay because about 10 minutes later they called and said that they were going to give the position to somebody else.
