Very nice. She just asked behavior questions and was very kind in explaining the job. I got a call after I applied and then there was an in person interview scheduled.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hy-Vee (Independence, MO) in Aug 2010
Interview
I applied online through their website which is the only way you can do it now. I also had to take a personality test online as part of the process. 23 days later I called Customer Service to follow up and they said they would be calling for interviews in a couple days. I received a call for an interview.
I went upstairs to the employees area and had my interview. It was my first one and afterwards I knew that it had gone very well, and the man interviewing me liked me, I could tell.
About 3 or 4 days later I received a phone call with a job offer and I accepted. I came in later that day to take a drug test. The next week I had a day of filling out paperwork and then started training.
It was fine. Pretty standard job interview. They drug test there but if you don’t take drugs you should be fine. They are weird about piercings though so if you have piercings I would look elsewhere.
