I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hy-Vee (Mankato, MN) in Sep 2016
Interview
Very well, the Human Resources manager was very friendly. The whole place was nice and clean. Ask very simple questions, if your nervous they will help you. They also show you around the store, so you can see what it is like.
Very easy. Asked if any prior experience. Had a drug test on the spot. Hired basically on the spot. There really isn't any more to say. Interviewed with about ten other people.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Hy-Vee (Columbia, MO) in Sep 2016
Interview
They were very friendly. The interview didn't take long at all and they had offered me a job by the time I left. They asked pretty standard questions, a lot of them related specifically to Hy-Vee (ex: what characteristics make Hy-Vee employees good?). A few days after the interview I took a drug test, then I had orientation. They were very willing to work with my class schedule.
