I first did a Zoom interview and was quickly invited for an in person interview the following week at the tech HQ in Grimes. The interview went well and I was told I would hear back in the next week or so when I left. However, I heard nothing for over a month when I was told they are no longer able to hire for the role. It all felt so inconsiderate of me and my time. Nearly a year later I was contacted again about a similar role and was invited in for an interview. I decided to go for it despite having a new role at a different company. Again, I wasn’t contacted for several weeks afterward and then was told I don’t have what they’re looking for. Being rejected from a job is fine and I understand, but why even bother contacting me again? You have my resume, LinkedIn and know my experience/skill set. If I don’t fit the qualifications, don’t make a point to reach out to me just to reject me again. I will never pursue a role with this company again, not to mention they way they’ve treated corporate staff in the past with layoffs and total disrespect. There are plenty of other corporations in the central Iowa area that are worth pursuing with far better reputations in terms of staff treatment. Hy-Vee just isn’t worth it.
