I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IA Interior Architects (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2021
Interview
Overall the process was very positive and welcoming. I started the process with getting in contact with the managing director. After a few chats with them, they set me up with an interview when their office was hiring. The first interview I presented my thesis to the staff. Which led me to my second interview with the senior staff about 2 weeks later. The interview was positive and light. The conversation was simple and they seemed engaged in what I was saying. There was a few laughs and it was not at all scary or intimidating. We spoke for about 30-40 minutes about my skill set, my experience and specific things that they do in their office. Overall positive experience and refreshing to see. Before the interview I reworked my professional works portfolio and my resume. I also tailored a cover letter to their job posting and my aspirations of joining the team.
