I applied on the IBM website. They got back to me after three weeks. I had two phone interviews, first one was just an introduction from both ends. The interviewer described the project the team is working on and got to know me a little.

Short recruiter screen. Questions focused on resume highlights, career goals, and interest in IBM.
Recruiter explained the team structure and next steps clearly.
Communication was professional and timely. The questions were straightforward and standard.
Overall, a typical first-round experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IBM (Halifax, NS) in Jun 2023
Interview
1 hour online interview. Very simple questions, nothing too technical. Mostly asked about my experience and resume. They interviewed me, however clarified at the end of the interview that they didn't have any open positions and were on hiring freeze. Not sure why they chose to interview me.

It is nice, whole process was smooth. Interviewer was kind and really make the whole process enjoyable. Really like it a lot, awesome interview, went to talk about my experience in the domain and receive good responses.
