I had a brief phone screen with a recruiter. I was applying for a job many months in advance which may have affected the way our communications went after that. We were in on and off contact for months but so far I haven't been able to secure the next round of interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What salary do you expect (you can easily choose not to answer this question at the phone-screen stage)
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ICF (Fairfax, VA) in May 2018
Interview
Did a phone interview, and 2 weeks after, I was invited to the headquarters for a final interview. Interview process was okay, had 4 hours of interviews straight. One of the interviewers used the entire 30 minutes to ask basic resume questions that were covered during the phone interview as if she didn't even bother to look over my resume before the interview. After spending a lot of money in travel and lodging costs, I have yet to hear anything back. I've emailed my recruiter twice in the past 3 weeks and she went from answering all questions within 24 hours to dropping off the face of the planet. After 3 weeks of radio silence, I'm assuming I didn't get the job. At least have the decency to send a rejection email.
