I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at IHOP
Interview
Manager was very short and easy in my interview; she asked me why I want to work there, why should she hire me, and my experiences with food. Do not answer the questions moronically like your just there because of the food and or you don't know, just for the money. Be sincere and outgoing. What really got her is taking the time to get to know her. She felt a friendly connection since you were going to work with her everyday. I got hired on the spot just by putting a good vibe and a smile.

Question 1
There was not really a hard question, it was tough due to the fact it was my first food related job and she preferred experience. But hey, you have to start somewhere right?
Easy, no stress, met with manager during slow period. Talked about what I was interested in, role, expectations, etc. Also talked about typical day, flow of kitchen/galley, and how team works together. Discussed slow and peak times.
