I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IHOP (Plano, TX) in Aug 2011
Interview
Very brief. Asked about experience in waitressing and skills. Nothing difficult. Talked about schooling and work experiences as well as any and all customer service experiences I have had. The interview lasted about 20 minutes and the manager was nice. Was my first interview ever and an easy experience overall
Easy, no stress, met with manager during slow period. Talked about what I was interested in, role, expectations, etc. Also talked about typical day, flow of kitchen/galley, and how team works together. Discussed slow and peak times.
