      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA in May 2018

      Interview

Done over the phone, have to have 2 or 3 interviews before you find out you got the job which can take time, Then there is the back ground check which takes time. One day notice before I was supposed to start the orientation.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What are you strengths? Think of a time you were proud job you did at work and how it helped the company? Think of time you did not agree with a policy and how you handle applying that policy.
      Answer question
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at IKEA (Sunrise, FL) in Mar 2020

      Interview

The interview process was fairly simple. They will ask you about previous work experience and hypothetical scenarios (i.e. what would you do if a customer was angry because of checkout lines?). Very friendly and comforting environment. Nothing to worry too much about.

      Question 1

They ask about working as a team and things of the sort.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA

      Interview

Begin with a phone screening before an in-person interview. As far as I see it, there are the first in-person interview and possible a second interview. In my case, I was hired on the spot which was strange when I hear it's a two part process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What are your availability? Explain your customer service experiences.

Thank you for taking the time to share your personal experience. Most candidates will go through our standard phone interview step and if moved forward they will have a 2nd interview at an IKEA location. Certain roles require what we call, a "grand parent" interview as an additional interview. We would welcome any additional questions and/or feedback you might have so we can continue to ensure a great experience for all our candidates. Please feel free to reach out directly at IKEARecruiting@ikea.com Congrats on your new role with us here at IKEA! #CoWorker
