Very odd interview with HR. Informed me that hiring manger wasn’t interested in my resume, but they decided to call me anyway. I should have ended the call right then and there. HR rep then proceeded to ask a series of scripted questions and seemed very annoyed when I asked questions about the role. While responding to one of the questions, the HR rep interrupted me mid-answer shouting “emergency, emergency, I have to go” and hung up on me. I followed up with a response email and she responded back right away so I got the impression that the “emergency” was just to get me off the phone. I’m familiar with INX as I have worked with them in the past. The whole experience has turned me off to applying to any roles there in the future. Advice to HR - get off the script and have a conversation with candidates. Allow them to ask questions about the company and role. Remember, candidates are interviewing the company as well to determine if it’s a good fit. Also if the hiring manager isn’t interested then don’t waste a candidate’s time.
