I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IXL Learning (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Standard process with a coding challenge, phone interview, casual HR call, and onsite interview. The questions they ask are atypical of the normal questions you would get for a technical interview. Instead of a leetcode kind of question, the questions after the coding challenge took a lot of time to digest the question and primarily tested your ability to create classes and helper functions. The problems seemed more tedious than rigorous in terms of data structures and algorithms. The interviewers also did not help at all and seemed to not be paying attention.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Coding Challenge - 4 leetcode easy questions involving hashmaps, arrays and string parsing.
Phone Interview - Keep a realtime leaderboard ranking of students. This is a class design problem more than an algorithm problem, and primarily tests your ability to use data structures and break up code into functions.
Onsite Virtual Interview - 3 technical interviews and 1 behavioral interview. First interview was finding bugs in a I/O program and a leetcode medium question. Second interview was to create an API for mathematical expressions which was pretty difficult because the instructions were very vague. Third interview was an extremely convoluted question asking to rank subjects based on a priority score, counts, and some obscure grouping criteria.

Met recruiter at Career Fair. They gave me a Hackerrank test. Passed all the questions with 100% on the given test cases. Then they email and decided not to move forward with the interview process. No feedback is given whatsoever.
