Interview
The first step is a brief phone screen where the recruiter is trying to get a sense of who you are and what your overall skills are. The next step is a relatively long (but not too long compared to some) technical interview with multiple people, including the recruiter, the hiring manager, and another technical person. Each person asks questions and provides information for about 30 min. The purpose of this interview is to dig deeper into the candidate's technical skills and accomplishments in order to assess how well he/she will do in the role. Everyone I interviewed with was super smart yet also very easy-going, making it pretty stress-free overall. From that point there is a bit of a waiting period while more candidates are interviewed for the position. The waiting wasn't easy for me, but understandable given how many people applied. I feel very fortunate to have received an offer!
