I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Imprivata in Jul 2016
Interview
Contacted by recruiter then put in touch with HR; phone screen with HR went glowingly and immediately scheduled phone interview with hiring manager, VP of Marketing. The phone conversation with hiring manager was less than ideal. Without the advantage of face to face engagement, the typical phone call challenges were faced; we spoke at the same time, there were silences, background office noises, etc. When we ended the call, I didn't expect an invitation to come in; I was right---which is fine. However, there was no feedback or closing of the loop by HR---which is disappointing, as I believe that's basic professional courtesy.
Two months later and the role still isn't filled, so suspect I'm not the only one that struggled with the phone interview portion of the hiring manager. Would suggest given his style, accent, etc., perhaps face to face interviews should be considered; and certainly recommend closing the loop with candidates regardless of outcome.

Question 1
Typical marketing operations questions; nothing atypical of standard questions and philosophical inquiries specific to marketing automation, lead management, sales and marketing alignment, marketing stack, etc.
We are sorry to hear that you had a frustrating experience with the phone interview process and that it did not meet your expectations. We understand phone screens can be challenging and it can be hard to understand the other individual at times. We very much appreciate your review and the candid feedback you have given us. We try and balance phone screening with in-person interviews as to move candidates through the process most effectively. Our goal at Imprivata is to keep our interview candidates informed and in the loop of the interview process. We apologize that this was not done and can ensure we will work to ensure this is done more promptly in the future.
