The first part was fine, the second part is where the problem started. The JD shared initially and the role I applied for was Market Research. The HR sets up an interview with the delivery head for Market Research. To my surprise when i went there someone else interviewed me and all the questions were for Product Development. Apparently this person was incharge of developing a product and wanted a lot of information regarding the costing details which happen in traditional research. He went on asking me very confidential questions about how much does your company charge, what is the industry costing, How much does GFK charge, what is the profit margins etc. etc. I turned down to answer these politely since it was not fair for me to answer all these per the confidentiality agreement signed with my present employer. The interview did not seem to be for a genuine job opening but a strategy to get the required information in the name of an interview. Considering InMobi being such an amazing start up and well known now, I did not expect a company of this order to stoop down to this level to get access to these details free of cost. Post the interview I did reach out the the HR and cited that I was interviewed for something else and not what i had initially applied for but the HR seems to be toothless in this org. Disappointed !!! Hope the owner / top management of this company reads this post to understand what is happening at a ground level and what cheap tactics their present managers are getting down
