I applied 3 weeks ago to a position at IndeedFlex. I reached out to the recruiter Friday, October 21st at 9:28am. I was reached out to Monday October 24th at 11:04pm by a recruiter on LinkedIn. I thought it was odd, but they are a company that works 356 days a year, 7 days a week and 24hrs a day so I just thought that was the reason he reached out so late. He thought he accidentally sent me a decline when he meant to reach out. We scheduled an interview for Wednesday October 26th at 6:00pm. It went really well and I really loved speaking with the recruiter. I was supposed to have someone reach out to schedule a follow-up interview. He was very clear on the process and even told me the next manager I was to meet with was very numbers oriented. I reached out to various prior managers to try to prep for the number questions I was sure that they were going to ask. This took a couple of days, but I noticed that I hadn't received a message from anyone. I called him and sent him a message on LinkedIn on the 28th to which I was sent an automated email reply saying he was on PTO. So I thought maybe he's out of the office. It's now 11/15/2022 and I last messaged 11/01/2022. I was laid off and it's very disheartening to think that you're in the running for a position only to have the person you're supposed to be in contact with disappear. Who knows... maybe he was laid of with the way the job industry is today. I was really looking forward to potentially working for IndeedFlex and it really hurts my heart to think that I won't be.
