The application process was easy and the interview was very casual over the phone. The hiring manager over the phone was very discouraging. The job is a contract position which means no benefits, instacart has some great benefits by the way. I was aware of the benefits and contract position and informed the manager of my salary expectations. The amount they stated the "higher ups" approved was $24-$25 an hour. This is very low for most fraud investigator positions, especially contract positions. Although you are remote they want you to work Pacific time, or at least encourage you which wasn't mentioned in the job description. Here comes the discouraging part, they informed me not to expect a permanent position, you can stay as contract if you like and if they have one they will have you apply for it. The manager mentioned they have one person that has been contracted for a year and hasn't been moved in a permanent position because there are none open.
