I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Hillsboro, OR) in Jan 2015
Interview
Did an on campus interview, which went well and mostly covered my Ph.D. research. A few days later I got an invitation to interview on site. The onsite interview was 6 six hours, including a 1 hour research talk, lunch with other engineers, and 6 45 minute 1 on 1 interviews. Seemed that the main decision was made after the research talk, the 1 on 1 interviews were mostly for personality match. Received an offer a few weeks later.
